First Families of Colorado
Family Recognition Programs

The First Families of Colorado Recognition Program was started by the Council in 1983. There are three categories of certificates: First Family, Territorial and Centennial. The certificates are numbered and show the ancestor's name and the name of the applicant. The certificates are suitable for framing.

About the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies...

The Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies (CCGS) was established in 1980 as a non-profit organization to facilitate cooperation among heritage-related organizations. In 1998, the Council proudly served as the host for the National Genealogical Society's Conference in the States.
